East Punjab University

In the September of 1947, the East Punjab University was set with its campus at Shimla shifted to Solan for the tenure of none years starting from end of 1047 to 1956. It was in 1957-58 when the university was shifted to its current place at Chandigarh. Initially the administrative headquarters remains in Solan, only the Departments were scattered in different towns.
